I apologise for never beating a black man

Friday 30 March 2007 at 8:21 pm HimThe Black population of this planet deserves an apology for slavery. But who should give this apology? Nobody alive today in Georgia, Bristol or Paris has ever owned a slave, least of all shipped thousands of them over to the West Indies to grow sugar. This is a sorry state of affairs. So, I hope, that in my own special way, I can give the Black population an apology. But first, I need to earn the guilt to make this apology heart-felt.
